Energy Management and Optimisation in a Smart Home in 2022

Home automation, the real one, is not the one that is bought and installed by the customer, it is the one made and studied for the preferences of the customer and his or her own habits. In fact, it may happen that one encounters home automation systems with different functions but made by the same person, this is what characterises Edmondo Alex sas.

Energy optimisation

One of our goals, which has been gaining popularity especially in the recent period, is energy management, and by energy we don't mean only electricity but also heating systems.

Solar photovoltaic management and optimisation

Optimisation of electricity consumption is becoming more and more essential in order to make homes more green. Optimisation means being able to manage electricity according to the production of any photovoltaics and the customer's needs; if there is a large overproduction, home automation will try to dissipate excess energy in all possible ways, for example turning on air conditioning systems in summer, and electric heaters or heat pumps in winter, following artificial intelligence algorithms based on future weather forecasts.

Making the most of sunlight

Another possible energy optimisation is the exploitation of sunlight. In fact, it is possible to manage electric blinds or shutters according to the season, temperature and, most importantly, the customer's preferences, 'INTELLIGENT SHUTTERS', i.e. in winter, the home automation system will do its utmost to let in as much sunlight as possible to heat and optimise the electricity consumption caused by artificial light, while in summer it will let in as little sunlight as possible to lower the temperature and dissipate electricity that would be lost through artificial light.
